George Carlson - The work of painter/sculptor George Carlson is the product of
solid academic training combined with a healthy curiosity in exploring
subjects which inspire him. In the 70's, he lived among the Tarahumara
Indians in Mexico, recording their daily routines and interactions
in both pastel and clay. He immersed himself in the study of the
life of powerful draught horses and the delicate movement realized
in ballet. His masterful work has been exhibited in the Natural
History Museum, the Gilcrease Museum, the AmerikaHaus in Berlin
and the Central House of Artists in Moscow, among others.
