Stanley
Bleifeld
- In 1961, Mr. Bleifeld was exposed to the many possibilities of sculpted
subject matter during his first trip to Italy. Although his academic
background was in painting, he began working in wax upon his return
to the United States. He modeled small groups of figures in various
narrative compositions which became a way of communicating ideas.
His vision for his own work was to translate into sculptural terms
the images of life that struck his imagination. His professional affiliations
include the National Sculpture Society, National Academy of Design,
and the North American Sculpture Society, among others.
